The Magister of Environmental Management Program is a multidisciplinary academic program. One of the benefits of a multidisciplinary study program is the ability to combine a variety of scientific disciplines to address a problem. Supported by expert and highly dedicated teaching staff, the study program provides quality education with an emphasis on multidisciplinary research. The graduates of this program are expected to be able to utilize, manage, and optimize the Earth’s natural resources and the environment for the benefit of humans. With a wide range of career opportunities as ecologists, nature conservation specialists, and environmental engineers, this study program is attractive to prospective students who have a great concern for the environment.
At present, the Magister in Environmental Management Program is nationally accredited with an accreditation level of “baik sekali” (very good). The accreditation is valid until June 15, 2026.

ABOUT STUDY PROGRAM
The Master of Environmental Management Program at Sriwijaya University was established in 2002. Magister in Environmental Management has 59 lecturers and 1 administrative staff. The coordinator of this study program is Prof. Novia, ST., MT., Ph.D. The vision of the study program is “to establish the Master of Environmental Management Study Program as a centre of excellence in education, research, and wetland environmental management.” Implementation of the curriculum is evaluated every year. Lecture materials for each course are updated by advancements in science, knowledge, technology, and art in the field of natural resources and environmental management.
