Master Program in Materials Science held another general lecture. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Vivi Fauzia from the Department of Physics, Universitas Indonesia, on Thursday, October 17, 2024. The theme presented by Prof. Vivi Fauzia was “Photothermal Materials for Solar-Driven Water Evaporation in Wastewater Treatment.” The public lecture was attended by lecturers of the Master Program in Materials Science, students of Master Program in Materials Science, and other related postgraduate students. Prof. Vivi Fauzia discussed several types of photothermal materials that can be used in water evaporation processes. This technique is highly beneficial for water-scarce regions, highlighting the importance of developing photothermal materials. At the end of the lecture, Prof. Vivi Fauzia also outlined the criteria for photothermal materials that could potentially be developed based on the properties of existing materials.
